Chautauqua is proud to announce our affiliation with the University of Rochester (Center of Excellence) offering telemedicine conferences for our Parkinson’s and neuromuscular disease residents, and community members. These individuals, whose care and management is complex, frequently have limited access to neuromuscular disorder specialists.
Telemedicine is the use of information and communication technology to provide healthcare to people who are located some distance from the specialized provider. Telemedicine has improved physician access and resident outcomes in neurological conditions such as stroke, epilepsy, Parkinson’s Diseases, ALS, and Huntington’s disease. Our telemedicine program will play an increasing role in health care and provide tools that are indispensable for our nursing home application and resident outcomes.
Our staff has received accredited training through the Parkinson’s Foundation to ensure individual quality care.
